Expertise:
In collaborations with researchs groups in other countries, CREA studies a wide range of situations, social groups and educational and training policies, and has implementations regarding the scope of education, educational quality, as well as the creation of employment.
The foremost aim of CREA is to develop research on the highest scientific and international level that contributes to overcoming social inequalities:

  • To study today's society, including the structures and processes that create and reproduce social inequalities as well as the social practices that contribute to overcoming them.

  • To analyse sexist, racist, ageist discrimination and the policies that are oriented towards overcoming them.

  • To train professionals of different ethnic backgrounds, genders, ages and social classes, for maximum teaching and research excellence.

  • To contribute to the incorporation of the university in our country into the international scientific community.

Experience:
Among others: national R&D projects; European projects:

  • Workaló. The creation of new occupational patterns for cultural minorities. The gipsy case.

  • ETGACE. Education and training for governance and active citizenship in europe. Analysis of Adult Learning and Design of formal, non-formal and informal education intervention.

  • ACCESS. University adult access policies and practices throughout the european union, and their consequences for the participation of non-traditional adults.

  • AMAL. Inmigración y mercado laboral.

  • Habilidades comunicativas y desarrollo social.

  • Participación y no participación en educación de personas adultas en España, Cataluña y Galicia.
